It all started for me in 1989 with the fresh sound of acid house being too young to go out and party at that time i had to settle for the fm dial listning to stations such as centerforce fm and sunrise some of my fav djs was randall and jj frost, Fast forward into 1991 and onto the sound of hardcore.Well what can i say this new music took hold of me in a very big way i was hooked straight away and found myself going to places like berwick manor and grange farm in chigwell.In berwick manor i used to watch the djs spin the tunes all night long and thinking i want to do that so in november 91 i got my first pair of technics sl1210's.
I gave my job up and then spent the next year buying as much hardcore i could get my hands on and mixing them all day/night/week long,1992 i done most of my raving at elevation(roller express)utopia(tasco warehouse)raindance(jenkins lane)fantazia, orange at the rocket ahhh those were the dayz. In 1993 i joined my first pirate radio station in the name of shakedown fm 88.4 and after playing at a few hardcore hellraisers came the summer of 94 i spent some of that summer in ibiza djing and when i got back the station had changed its name to conflict fm which i stayed on till it merged with pressure fm on 100.3 in 97,Buy this time the scene was drum n bass and was going thro a period of dark and very moody music which i didn't like and wasn't going to support anymore and so with that i decided to have a break from the fm dial. In the year 2000 after a three year break my friend jacko asked me if i wanted to go on rinse fm with him to do an oldskool show on saturdays,not wanting to commit myself to a regular show i decided to pop up there once a month,This is where i met nunny who was doing the weekly show with godey and jacko. What can i say but i have very fond memories of that time, I then had a very brief time djing ukgarge playing at clubs in faliraki in the summertime and playing on the likes of tease fm and style, flava,deja vu and rinse in the winter.I soon got fed up with ukgarge music and the moody vibe once again in the clubs and turned back to drum and bass.By the time the year 2006,I started doing and still am doing an internet station called breakpirates.com playing oldhardcore/jungle and drum n bass going b2b with nunny, wizzard and the nrgiza which gave us the vibe again for the fm dial and with that we went onto do shows on forcefm,centerforce,chillinfm and finally found our home the mighty big E eruption101.3.We have residentcy's at nudawn,history of hardcore(HoH)decade of dance,breakpirates in germany(big up the germany kru)and looking for many more bookings so out to the promoters get on the case :p
